UU World welcomes submissions of fine art from Unitarian Universalists. It's a good idea to read a few issues to become familiar with UU World before submitting your artwork. You can usually find copies in Unitarian Universalist church offices; you can also browse through our on-line archives.

Creations

The magazine features fine art in diverse media in the "Spirit" section.

To be considered, please send an artist statement, your Unitarian Universalist affiliation, and the images you have selected in one of these ways:

• Use the submit button below to upload digital images to our online submissions site.
• Send inkjet or laser-print copies to Creations, UU World, 24 Farnsworth Street, Boston MA 02210-1409.
• Send an email with a link to your artist website (do not use any attachments) to world@uua.org.
• If you need to email low-resolution images or attach your artist statement as a text file, please contact Kenneth Sutton first, at 617.948.6522 or ksutton@uua.org. We do not accept emails with attachments without prior communication.

If your artwork is accepted for publication, we will contact you for high-resolution digital images or slides.

Spiritual Landmarks

The magazine is always seeking photographs showcasing congregations' unique worship and meeting spaces for our Spiritual Landmarks column. Whether you meet in a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, or a rented room, we are interested in seeing your space in use. The photographs should give a sense of what's unique about the building's (or room's) interior or exterior architecture and should include people. This last is of special importance because we want to show congregants using their space. Contact Sonja Cohen, senior editor, at UU World, 24 Farnsworth St., Boston, MA 02210-1409 or at scohen@uua.org. Do not send photos as email attachments until asked to do so.

Covers and Feature Articles

The magazine often uses fine art on the cover or to illustrate feature articles. If you would like your artwork considered for this use, please email the url of your artist or dealer website to world@uua.org.
