Joshua Searle-White

Joshua Searle-White is a professor of psychology at Allegheny College in Meadville, Penn., where he teaches classes in conflict resolution, the psychology of nationalism, and storytelling. His books include The Psychology of Nationalism (Palgrave/St. Martin’s Press, 2001) and Magic Wanda’s Travel Emporium: Tales of Love, Hate and Things in Between (Skinner House Books, 2007). He won the 2003 “Storyteller of the Year” competition hosted by the Creative Arts Institute in Ohio. He has performed and led workshops and has recorded three storytelling CDs, Dad School, Letter Poker, and Magic Wanda’s Travel Emporium, which features seven stories from his new collection.

He is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Meadville, Penn.
