An Introduction to the Unitarian and Universalist Traditions. By Andrea Greenwood and Mark W. Harris. Cambridge University Press, 2011; $29.99.

This recent addition to Cambridge University Press’s ongoing “Introduction to Religion” series places contemporary Unitarian Universalism not only in a historical context, but also a global one. Its topics span everything from the sixteenth century writings of Michael Servetus to the twenty-first century online, international membership of the First UU Church of Second Life.

The Rev. Andrea Greenwood has served congregations in Atlanta, Georgia, and Watertown, Massachusetts. The Rev. Mark W. Harris is minister of the First Parish of Watertown, Massachusetts, and is the author of several books, including Elite: Uncovering Classism in Unitarian Universalist History (Skinner House, 2010).
