Book to note: 'Mira and the Big Story'
A young girl learns to respect diverse traditions.
Vivid woodblock-style images illustrate the story of Mira, a girl with big questions about the nature of truth and the origins of the world. While trying to discover whose version of the origin myth is right, Mira learns to respect and celebrate the beliefs and traditions of others and finds that there is a larger story that encompasses us all. Ages 8 and up.
