Book introduces Unitarian Universalism to young children
Full-color illustrations will delight children and adults.
This charmingly illustrated introduction to Unitarian Universalism for children ages 5 to 9 depicts congregational life from chalice lighting to Sunday school (above) to coffee hour to walk-a-thon. The text helps parents translate an often abstract religion into experiences children recognize. (“We believe all people are important, no matter what they look like or where they come from, if they’re boys or girls, how much money they have, or what kinds of families they live in.”) The author is director of religious education at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Naples, Florida. The illustrator is a member of the Unitarian Society of Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts.
