Service interrupted

Right-wing anti-abortion activists interrupted the worship service of First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans on Sunday, July 20. The interruption, and the church’s response, drew national media attention. The Rev. Deanna Vandiver offered a firsthand account on The Rachel Maddow Show (7.29.14). Rebranding the UUA

Boston Magazine (June 2014) interviewed UUA President Peter Morales and other UU leaders about the UUA’s rebranding efforts and attempts to reach the growing numbers of people who are not interested in attending church. Find a link at blogs.uuworld.org/media, 5.30.14.

Viral music video

Upworthy, the viral media website, promoted a music video made by All Souls Unitarian Church in Washington, D.C., on the steps of the Supreme Court building in June. The video calls attention to the need to strengthen voter protections. youtu.be/ugqEdaP-tco
