The General Assembly on Sunday thanked Judith Frediani for her work leading the UUA’s religious education staff in developing the comprehensive curriculum Tapestry of Faith. The Rev. Terry Sweetser, vice president for Stewardship and Development, and Executive Vice President Kay Montgomery praised Frediani’s vision and leadership.

Sweetser thanked donors who had contributed to the development of the curriculum over the past ten years. Tapestry of Faith offers free curriculum resources for all ages on the UUA website. Judith Frediani retires in August after 28 years on the UUA staff. She has made “a lasting gift to Unitarian Universalism,” Montgomery said.

On Saturday, Frediani presented the 2013 Angus H. MacLean Award for Excellence in Religious Education to the Rev. Dr. Linda Olson Peebles, minister of religious education at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, Va., and new president of the UU Ministers Association.
