Ostrich egg chalices
'Precious and delicate.'
Kim Pendley, trustee of the Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, writes of these eggs, “The church doesn’t use them as chalices; they are far too precious and delicate. But we featured them on local TV as examples of the fine art we showcase in our two annual art festivals and in our art gallery at the church.”
UU World is seeking other examples of Unitarian Universalist material culture. Write to Kenneth Sutton at world@uua.org for instructions about submitting your work.
