A dead child's clothing transformed into a quilt.
MountainWoman Silver writes of this quilted wall-hanging that it was “commissioned by a woman in memory of her son who had died twelve years before at the age of 18. She had never been able to part with any of his belongings until she asked me to incorporate the fabric from some of his clothing into a quilt. I found myself seeing dying as a journey into an unfamiliar area, a new mysterious adventure.”
