The gate of heaven
A stairway was upon the earth and its top reached the sky.
“Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Haran. And when the sun had set, he came to a place and had to stay the night. He took one of the stones and put it at his head and lay down there. And he dreamed. Here, a stairway was upon the earth and its top reached the sky, and messengers of God were going up and coming down on it.”
